Before the Draft

Keeper League Entry – Your Draft Admin will enter your league’s keeper players as the first rounds of the draft.

Proposed Start Time – If your Draft Admin sets a “Proposed Start Time,” this does NOT mean the draft will automatically start at that time. The “Proposed Start Time” is simply a way for your Draft Admin to communicate the estimated start time to you.

During the Draft

Player Selection

  • Making a Pick – Please note that you have not completed the selection of a player until ALL of the steps below have been completed.
    1. When it is your turn to pick, a search box will appear under the “Player Name” column for your row. Type all or part of a player’s first or last name and click the “Search” button.
    2. After clicking “Search,” a list of players will appear that match your search criteria. Players that have already been selected will be grayed out and have a line through their names. This is done for informational purposes. If the player you are searching for is not listed, please follow the instructions below to check for the player in the Player List. If the player is not listed in the Player List, please follow the instructions below for making a Player Request through the Player List page.
    3. If the player you are looking for is listed, click the “Select” button next to their name.
    4. You will now see the player’s name, a position selection menu, the player’s team, and a “Draft Player” button. Select the position you want to use this player for and click “Draft Player” to complete your selection.
      NOTE: You can select any position for a player, though it is best to check your league’s web site to ensure you select a position that player is eligible for. Further, you can update the player’s position at any time following the “Change Player’s Position” instructions below.

  • Missed a Pick – When the clock runs out and you miss your pick, the draft continues to the next pick of the draft. If you have missed a pick, your selection row will be highlighted red. You may enter your missed pick at any time.
  • Change Player’s Position – You can update a player’s position at any time after you have drafted the player by completing the following steps.
    1. Click on your name in the “Draft Home” page.
    2. Click on the name of the player whose position you wish to update.
    3. The player’s position will be selected as part of a position selection menu. Change the selection to the desired position and click “Update Pick.”

  • Identify a Pick Selector – Sometimes, a pick will be made for you by a Designated Picker or the Draft Admin. To identify who made a pick for you, complete the following steps.
    1. Click on your name in the “Draft Home” page.
    2. Click on the name of the player whose selector you want to identify.
    3. The name of the person who picked the selected player will appear in the last column as “Made By:”

On the Clock – The “On the Clock” section of the “Draft Home” provides important information about the current status of your league draft.

  • Round – The current round of your league draft, including to total number of rounds to be completed.
  • Pick – The current pick number of the current round of your league draft.
  • Overall – The current overall pick number of your league draft.
  • Manager – The manager who is currently on the clock to make the current pick.
  • Time Remaining – The time remaining for the manager on the clock to make the current pick.
    NOTE: Managers at the “ends” of a Snaked Draft will only receive ONE clock for BOTH picks. If the clock runs out, the manager will miss BOTH picks.

Manager Tools

  • Queue Status – The first row of the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home” displays your current queue stats.
    • If your queue is set to Unavailable, the background of this row will be red. If your queue is set to Available, the background of this row will be green.
    • You can click the links in the Queue Status row to quickly edit your queue’s status. For more information about the various statuses for your queue, see the Queue Management section below.

  • View All Picks – To view all the picks made in the draft up to the current selection, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “View All Picks” link.
    2. You can sort the list by Round/Pick, Player Name (Last, First), Position, Team, or Manager by clicking on the appropriate header name.
    3. The “Traded From” column will indicate the original owner of the pick if it was traded.

  • Draft Grid – To view all the picks made in the draft up to the current selection in a grid formatted by manager and position, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Draft Grid” link.
      NOTE: If you have a pop-up blocker turned on, you will need to disable it to view the Draft Grid.
    2. The Draft Grid lists Round and Pick for each selection.
    3. Players listed in red have been traded away by that manager while players listed in green have been acquired via trade by that manager.
    4. The bottom of the Draft Grid lists how many players at each position have been selected up to the current selection.

  • Next Picks – To view the draft order for the next picks in your league draft, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Next ## Picks” link.
      NOTE: The page is set to show the draft order for twice the number of picks as there are managers in your league. Thus, if there are 12 managers in your league, it will show the draft order for the next 24 picks.
    2. Selections that you are due to make will be highlighted in the list of Next Picks.
    3. Picks that have been traded will note the name of the manager who traded the pick under the “Traded From” column.

  • Draft Discussion – To view your league’s draft discussion in the Kafenatid Forums, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Draft Discussion” link.
      NOTE: If you have a pop-up blocker turned on, you may need to disable it to view the Draft Discussion.
    2. When there are new messages posted to your Draft Discussion, a red asterisk will appear next to the “Draft Discussion” link.

  • Player List – To view the players available to you for your league draft, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Player List” link.
    2. You can sort the list by Player Name (Last, First) or Team by clicking on the appropriate header name.
    3. Players that have already been selected will be grayed out and have a line through their names. This is done for informational purposes.
    4. If a player you want to draft is not listed or is listed improperly, please click the “Request a Player Addition/Modification” link at the top of the Player List page. Complete the form on the next page and the player will be added/modified within 24 hours. If your name and email are provided correctly, you will be emailed immediately after the player has been added/modified.

  • Player Update Log – To view the log of player additions and modifications, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Player Update Log” link.
    2. The log is sorted in order of the most recent addition/modification first.
    3. If a player you want to draft is not listed or is listed improperly, please click the “Request a Player Addition/Modification” link at the top of the Player List page. Complete the form on the next page and the player will be added/modified within 24 hours. If your name and email are provided correctly, you will be emailed immediately after the player has been added/modified.

  • Designated Pickers – To manage your Designated Pickers, including adding and removing Designated Pickers and refusing a Designated Picker assignment, complete the following steps.

Queue Management – In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Queue Management” link to manage your queue settings.

  • Changing Your Queue Status – By default, your queue is Unavailable to your Designated Pickers and the Draft Admin.
    • Make Your Queue Available – If your queue is currently Unavailable, click the “Make Your Queue Available” link to make it available to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin.
    • Make Your Queue Unavailable – If your queue is currently Available, click the “Make Your Queue Unavailable” link to make it unavailable to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin.

  • Additional Queue Settings – These settings are available to you if your queue is Available.
    • First Player Setting – You can choose to display your entire queue or just the first player in your queue to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin when it’s your turn to pick.
      • First Only – If your entire queue is available to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin, click the “Make Only the First Player Available” link to make only the first player available to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin when it’s your turn to pick.
      • All Players – If only your first player is available to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin, click the “Make All of Your Players Available” link to make all of your players available to your Designated Pickers and Draft Admin when it’s your turn to pick.
    • Free-Form Entry – Free-Form Entry allows your Designated Pickers to search and select any player for you, just as if it were their own turn to pick. It should be noted that this setting should only be turned on if you have a high level of trust with ALL of your Designated Pickers.
      NOTE: The Draft Admin always has the ability to use Free-Form Entry.
      • Make Free-Form Entry Available – If Free-Form Entry is Unavailable, click the “Make Free-Form Entry Available” link to make free-form entry available to your Designated Pickers.
      • Make Free-Form Entry Unavailable – If Free-Form Entry is Available, click the “Make Free-Form Entry Unavailable” link to make free-form entry unavailable to your Designated Pickers.

  • Adding Players to Your Queue – To add a player to your queue, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Add a Player” section of “Queue Management,” select the player you want to add from the drop-down list of available players.
    2. Click the “Add Player to Queue” button.
    3. The player will be added to the bottom of your queue by default.
    4. A link to the “Draft Grid” is provided for your convenience to help determine who you want to add to your queue.

  • Managing Your Queue
    • Move a Player Up in Your Queue – To move a player to a higher position in your queue, click the “Move Up” link associated with the player’s name.
    • Move a Player Down in Your Queue – To move a player to a lower position in your queue, click the “Move Down” link associated with the player’s name.
    • Delete a Player From Your Queue – To remove a player from your queue, click the “Delete” link associated with the player’s name. Any players behind the deleted player in your queue will automatically move up to fill the empty queue slot.

Designated Pickers – In the “Manager Tools” section of the “Draft Home,” click the “Designated Pickers” link to manage your Designated Pickers or refuse a Designated Picker assignment.

  • Add a Designated Picker – To add a Designated Picker, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Add a Designated Picker” section, select a manager’s name from the drop-down list.
    2. Click the “Add” button.
    3. Your Designated Pickers will receive an email every time it is your turn to pick.

  • Remove a Designated Picker – To remove a Designated Picker, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Your Designated Pickers” section, click the “Remove” link associated with the Designated Picker’s name.

  • Refuse a Designated Picker Assignment – If you want to refuse your assignment as a Designated Picker for another manager, complete the following steps.
    1. In the “Designated Picker for Others” section, click the “Refuse” link associated with the manager’s name.

League Settings – Important League Settings are displayed below the manager/selection list in the “Draft Home” page.

  • Time Per Pick – The current amount of time allotted for each manager to make their pick.
  • Daily Draft Pause – If your Draft Admin has set a Daily Draft Pause – a timeframe when the draft’s clock will be turned off – the timeframe will be displayed here. If the Draft Pause occurs during the day, it will be noted as a “’Daytime’ Draft Pause” for informational purposes.
  • Weekend Draft Pause – If your Draft Admin has set a Weekend Draft Pause – a timeframe from Friday to Monday when the draft’s clock will be turned off – the timeframe will be displayed here. All Weekend Draft Pauses occur from some time on Friday to some time on Monday.

Draft Peek – Click the “Draft Peek” link in the On the Clock Fantasy Draft Manager menu section to look in on public drafts to see how they are progressing.

  • League Name – The name of the league. Click the league’s name to peek in on the draft.
  • Sport – The sport the league is drafting for.
  • Draft Peek – Click the “Draft Peek” link to peek in on the league’s draft.
  • Feeds – You can subscribe to the RSS or Atom feeds to receive automatic updates for each of the league’s draft picks. You’ll need to use a third party feed reader, like Google Reader, to properly use the feeds.

Average Picks – Click the “Average Picks” link in the On the Clock Fantasy Draft Manager menu section to see the average overall pick for players in public, non-keeper drafts.

  • Click the “View” link to see the Average Picks for the associated sport and year.
  • Players are listed in ascending order of their average pick.
  • Player Name – The player’s name
  • Team – The player’s team
  • AVG – The average overall pick number for the player
  • MIN – The earliest overall pick number used to select the player
  • MAX – The latest overall pick number used to select the player
  • NUM – The number of public, non-keeper drafts that have been started that the player has been selected in.

Your Account – Edit your account to set a secondary email address or edit your real name.

  • Secondary Email Address – Your secondary email address is used to send you On the Clock notifications, including when it is your turn to pick, when it is your turn to be a Designated Picker, and when a draft’s clock has been changed. To edit your secondary email address, complete the following steps.
    1. Click the “Edit Account” link in the On the Clock Fantasy Draft Manager menu section.
    2. Click the “Edit Secondary Email Address” link in the “Email Address” row.
    3. Edit your email address and click the “Update” button.
    4. Please do NOT set your secondary email address to the same address as your primary (Forums) email address. This could cause Spam filters to block On the Clock emails.

  • Real Name – Your real name is displayed with your username at times when it is most useful, such as when the Draft Admin is setting the Draft Order. To edit your real name, complete the following steps.
    1. Click the “Edit Account” link in the On the Clock Fantasy Draft Manager menu section.
    2. Click the “Edit Real Name” link in the “Username” row.
    3. Edit your real name and click the “Update” button.

After the Draft

Viewing the Draft Results – To view the results of your league draft, click the “Draft Results” link for your league draft in the On the Clock home page.

Archiving Your Draft – Well after the start of the season for which your league drafted for, your draft will be archived and will be listed under the “Your Archived Drafts” section of the On the Clock home page. All the same options available to you for a Finished Draft will still be available to you.
